Shipping And Guarantee

All of our items are fully guaranteed, on approval and returnable within ten days of receipt if unsatisfactory for any reason. Refunds are limited to the original purchase price, including initial delivery costs. All items remain the property of Bauman Rare Books until payment is made in full.

We provide expert shipping via United Parcel Service or Federal Express unless you have a specific request for another carrier. All shipped items are carefully packed by our own experts who have years of experience handling these rare artifacts. All items are fully insured, and we will ship with signature required to make sure that your parcel is received safely. We will send you tracking information once the books ship.  We provide expedited service and Saturday delivery upon request; shipping charges are additional, and courier delivery is available in Manhattan.

Shipping is free on most domestic USA orders of $400 or more, and international shipping is free on most orders over $600. For oversized, multi-volume, or framed items, shipping costs may be additional; we will contact you before shipping if that is the case. We typically use UPS or FedEx for most shipping, though other services are available upon request. Our standard shipments require a signature upon delivery to ensure safe delivery.

For orders under $400, standard size shipments to the United States are $30. Most domestic shipments take 3-8 business days. We will do our best to get the packages there as soon as possible. Expedited service is $75. Expedited service is typically 1-3 business days, please let us know if there is a specific deadline for receiving the item. 

For international orders under $600, standard size shipments to most countries are $100. We can usually offer free international shipping on orders over $600. Please let us know if the item is a gift, as we will be happy to provide complimentary gift wrapping and include a presentation card with your package.

A detailed description, noting the edition, binding, condition description and bibliographic details will be provided with each item.

We accept all major credit cards, checks and wire transfers. For a first-time client, we prefer payment by credit card and we will ship only to the billing address associated with the card.
