Considered "the greatest post-war novelist writing in English, a Nobel Laureate and winner of the Pulitzer Prize and the National Book Award (three times), it was Saul Bellow who best articulated, for more than 50 years, the experience and moral condition of the late 20th century" (Telegraph).
