Signed limited first edition, number 13 of only 100 copies with signed contributions by Theodore Roosevelt ("A Boy's Visit to Slabsides") and eight others including Burroughs' son Julian Burroughs, Hamlin Garland, Clara Barrus, H.A. Haring (whose contribution is a selection of excerpts from Burroughs' own writings), Clifton Johnson, Frank M. Chapman, Clyde Fisher, and Caroline E. Furness, and an unsigned posthumous reprint of A `Little Journey' by Elbert Hubbard.

Each signature on a separate tipped-in leaf before the author's article. Slabsides, Burroughs' secluded cabin retreat in the hills near the Hudson River, was a mecca for friends and admirers from 1895 until his death in 1921. Illustrated with twenty photographs of Burroughs and Slabsides.

Book near-fine with only minor wear, tape repairs to cardboard slipcase.
