SIGNED LIMTED EDITION OF THE LAST NIGHT OF THE EARTH POEMS, ONE OF ONLY 225 WITH ORIGINAL SIGNED SILKSCREEN PRINT BY BUKOWSKI
BUKOWSKI, Charles. The Last Night of the Earth Poems. Santa Rosa, California: Black Sparrow, 1992. Octavo, original half red cloth, pictorial paper-covered boards, original acetate.
Signed limited edition of the last book of poetry published in Bukowski’s lifetime, number 107 of only 225 numbered copies, with original tipped-in silkscreen print by Bukowski signed by him and dated ’92.
“A bard of the barroom and the brothel… Charles Bukowski acted as tour guide to the nightmare of his own personality” in his poetry, “writing in tough, direct language” that identified him as a founder of literature’s “dirty realist” school (New York Times). This scarce signed limited edition contains a brilliantly colored original signed silk screen print by Bukowski. Issued coincident with a signed limited edition of 750 copies (without silkscreen print) and a trade edition in wrappers.
A fine signed copy.
