First edition, rare first issue, handsomely bound in full contemporary calf-gilt.
Includes Shelley's monumental Prometheus Unbound and other important poems, such as "Ode to the West Wind," "To a Skylark," "Ode to Heaven," and "Ode to Liberty," to name a few. "Prometheus is a dithyrambic of sublime exultation on the redemption of humanity, and an assemblage of all that language has of gorgeousness and verse of melody… The Ode to the West Wind is perhaps the grandest of Shelley's lyrics" (DNB).
