This illuminated leaf is from a French Book of Hours, circa 1450-1500. It offers a section of the calendar and includes gothic text in black and red. It also features a two-line gilt initial on a filigree blue, purple, and white ground. The border along the right side features flowers, berries, sprays, gilt leaves, and acanthus leaves. The verso, faintly visible through the leaf, appears to feature similar text and bordering.
