“In these evocative images, Dunas creates a veritable landscape of abandonment, one that, despite the obvious presence of the living, nevertheless coheres and supports the myth of an America escaping from its past, yet leaving uncomfortable traces scattered everywhere.” The accompanying signed original print, depicting a rusting car in rural Nebraska, is an icon of those “uncomfortable traces.” Text in English, German, and French.
