With contributions by a veritable who’s-who of 19th-century American literati, including Washington Irving, William Cullen Bryant, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Henry R. Schoolcraft, James Russell Lowell, and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Second printing, with Curtis portrait listed as being at page 329 and Alvord as the printer on the copyright page. BAL 1033.
