This lovely book, doubtless published to commemorate the opening of Richard Hudnut's perfumery in Paris, contains a special pamphlet entitled "At 20 Rue de la Paix," in paper wrappers stitched with satin ribbon, advertising Hudnut's shop. Book and pamphlet contain color plates of glowing drawings by George Barbier, done in Art Deco style. Le Gallienne's text celebrates the cultural and ceremonial uses of perfume throughout the ages. Without rare original slipcase and box.
