"March is one of the most important graphic novels ever created—an extraordinary presentation of an extraordinary life, and proof that young people can change the world. I'm stunned by the power of these comics, and grateful that Congressman Lewis' story will enlighten and inspire future generations of readers and leaders" (Raina Telgemeier). Praised on publication as "a riveting and beautiful civil rights story" (Washington Post), "March deserves to be placed alongside other historical graphic memoirs like Persepolis and Maus" (Entertainment Weekly). John Lewis' "brave acts of civil disobedience… (give) March its educational value even as Powell's drawings give Lewis' crisp narration an emotional power" (New York Times). All volumes first printings. Volume I is the trade edition; a signed limited edition of 500 copies was issued the same year.
Fine condition. A desirable set, signed in all three volumes by all three authors.
