First trade edition, scarce presentation copy inscribed by Wouk on a tipped-in leaf, “Inscribed for Dr. Harry J. Courniotes in gratitude & with high esteem—Sincerely Herman Wouk, Washington May 79,” tipped-in leaf stating this “is one of a reserve selection drawn from the first edition for the friends of the author.”
