After WWII, Taylor continued to perform important if controversial roles, first as Superintendent of West Point, and later as the Army Chief of Staff and, under Kennedy and Johnson, as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Vietnam War. First published in 1948; this edition includes a chapter updating the history up to 1965. Bookplate of inscribee. Newspaper clippings laid in.

Text fine, faint offsetting to inscription leaf, one small bump to front board; dust jacket with mild wear and toning, small chip to front panel. A very good inscribed copy.
