First published in 1879. On the rear free endpapers a previous owner has affixed an engraved portrait of the author, along with a typed tribute to him, above which is written: "In memoriam Thursday, December 26th, 1896." Early gift inscription (1891) and owner signature.
Interior generally clean, binding handsome.
